NEW DELHI, April 18: According to the official notification, the authorities has announced that from the academic year 2021-22 onwards, admissions through DASA will be based on JEE Main ranks. Last year, the admission of UG Engineering & Architecture programmes in IIITs, NITs, SPAs and other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes were based on the SAT scores.

The qualifying examination eligibility criteria will be the same. Students should have a minimum 60% score in their 12th-grade examination. Applicants should have passed Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science in 11th/12th grade.

Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG) have to clear JEE Main exam for admission through DASA scheme. The fee and other criteria are expected to be similar for CIWG/NRI candidates from abroad. So the CIWG/NRI students who want to get admission to UG courses for 2021-22 academic year need to appear for JEE Main examination.
