New Delhi, May 25: Day 1 of AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam was conducted successfully on May 25 amidst tight security for both the morning and evening shifts. The morning shift was conducted from 9 am -12.30 pm, and evening shift from 3 pm - 6.30 pm. AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam this year is conducted on two days (two sessions day) - May 25 and 26. Day 2 of the exam will be conducted tomorrow, May 26.

AIIMS MBBS 2019 is being conducted in computer-based mode and includes 200 objective-type questions. The exam, which is being held in 151 across India, is for admission to MBBS course offered by 15 operational AIIMS institutes. For the current academic session, 1207 seats are up for grabs, including 7 for foreign nationals.

The 15 participating AIIMS institutes for the current academic session are - AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, Guntur, Nagpur, Kalyani, Raebarelli, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Deogarh and Bibinagar.

Guidelines for candidates appearing AIIMS MBBS 2019 - Day 2

  • Candidates must bring with them an original printout of the AIIMS MBBS 2019 admit card; photocopies of the printout will not be accepted.

  • Along with the admit card, one must also carry a valid photo ID proof, which must be the same as one opted during registration and mentioned on the admit card) and two passport-size photographs.

  • Visit the exam centre a day in advance to find out about location, time need to commute, traffic situation, etc.

  • No candidate will be allowed inside the exam venue after Entry Closing Time, which is mentioned on the AIIMS 2019 admit card. It is recommended that candidates don’t wait until the last minute to make their entry, as there are frisking and other formalities to be completed.

  • No specific dress code is specified by exam officials, but candidates are advised to dress decently. Items like caps, scarves, hats, and similar headgear as well as thick-soled footwear, large metallic buttons, and goggles are barred.

  • Candidates mustn't also wear any ornaments.

  • Other items in the barred list include electronic gadgets, pen, pencil, papers, books, and bottles.

  • Further, exam centres may not have provisions for safe keeping of any kind of baggage. So, candidates must make arrangements themselves if they bring any additional items, apart from those allowed inside the exam hall.

  • Rough work has to be done on the backside of admit cards and rough sheets that will be provided at the exam hall. After completion of the exam, the admit card and rough sheet should be returned, or else the question paper of the candidate will not be evaluated.


Publication of answer keys by coaching institutes

AIIMS New Delhi doesn’t usually publish official answer keys for AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam. However, leading coaching institutes like Resonance, Allen Kota and Aakash may release unofficial AIIMS MBBS 2019 answer keys. If the unofficial keys are released, the candidate will be able to check their responses against those given in the keys, and thus calculate expected score.

Declaration of Result

The result of AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be declared in online mode on June 12. The result would be available in the form of merit list and include details like roll number, section-wise and overall percentile, overall and category rank, and also qualifying status. Only such candidates who qualify in the exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling-cum-seat allotment process which will be conducted post declaration of result.
