NEW DELHI, JANUARY 10- The Paper-1 of JEE Main 2019 for January 10 has commenced. This ongoing on entrance exam will conclude at 12:30 pm. The afternoon shift of JEE Main 2019 Paper-1 will start from 2:30 pm. Today is the second day of JEE Main 2019 Paper-1. National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting JEE Main 2019 Paper-1 till January 12 in Computer-Based-Test (CBT) only in two shifts daily. The national level engineering entrance examination is being held to offer eligible candidates admission to various B.Tech courses offered by IITs, NITs, CFTIs and IIITs.

Around 9,29,198 candidates have registered for Paper 1 of JEE Main, as per the official notification released by NTA. The exam is being held in 467 centres in 258 cities (9 outside India).

The Paper-1 of JEE Main 2019 for  January 9 was easy as compared to the last year. According to the candidates' feedback, Mathematics and Chemistry section were easy while Physics was a bit tricky and time-consuming. No technical error was reported on day 1 of Paper-1.

The Paper-2 of JEE Main 2019 concluded on January 8 which was conducted partially in CBT and offline mode. The entrance examination was conducted in two shifts for the candidates who were seeking admission in B.Arch/B.Planning courses offered by the participating institutes.

This is the first time when NTA is conducting JEE Main 2019 in CBT mode. Not only this, from 2019 JEE Main will be conducted twice a year, January and April in multiple shifts. The application for JEE Main 2019 will release from February 8 for the examination which is scheduled between April 6 to 20.
