Delhi Nursery Admission 2023: Registration in private schools begins today
The first merit list for the entry level classes in over 1,800 private schools will be displayed on January 20, 2023.

NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Education (DoE) will commence the registration for Delhi nursery admission 2023 for private schools from today, December 1. Interested students will be able to apply for the Delhi Class 1 admission 2023 in private schools by paying a non-refundable payment amount of Rs 25. The first list of children selected for the entry level classes in over 1,800 private schools will be displayed on January 20, 2023.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) has instructed the schools to submit the details of all entry level classes, nursery, KG, Class 1, along with seats available for admission by December 16. It had asked all private unaided recognised schools to upload their criteria for admission by November 28, 2022.

The DoE has also directed that the number of seats at the entry level will not be less than the highest number of seats in entry level classes during the last three academic years -- 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23.
The directorate has fixed the age limit for Delhi nursery and Class 1 admission 2023 as follows:

Age relaxation for Delhi Class 1 admission up to 30 days may be granted at the level of head of schools in the minimum and upper age limit for these classes. Parents will have to request the principal of the schools for age relaxation, a notification from DoE read.
