Delhi Nursery Admission 2025: First merit list today at edudel.nic.in; tie-breaking policy

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government’s Department of Education (DoE) will issue the Delhi nursery admission 2025 first merit list today, January 17. Students registered for admission in nursery, kindergarten (KG), or Class 1 for the 2025-26 will be able to download the Delhi Nursery admission first merit list 2025 through the official website, edudel.nic.in.

In Delhi nursery admission 2025, 25 per cent of seats are reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged group (DG) students and children with disabilities in private schools.

As per the schedule, the window for allotment-related queries will be made available from January 18 to January 27, 2025. The Delhi nursery admission 2025 second list of selected students will be issued on February 3 and the resolution window will open from February 5 to February 11.

Candidates can use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth on the official portal to download the Delhi nursery admission 2025 first merit list. Delhi nursery admission merit list is prepared considering various factors such as the child's age, sibling status, parent’s alumni status, and proximity of the school to the child’s residence.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2025: Distance from school criteria in merit list

Under Delhi nursery admissions 2025, the distance from the school is one of the most significant factor with points assigned as follows:

• 50 points for homes located within 6 kilometres of the school.
• 40 points for homes situated between 6 and 8 kilometres away.
• 30 points for homes that are 8 to 15 kilometres away.

In case of a tie among children for Delhi nursery admissions 2025, a draw of lots will be conducted. The lot will be conducted either using a computerised system or by drawing slips in the presence of parents. The draw will be shot on video and the footage will be retained by the school.
