Delhi University to commence admission from May 20; expect the first cut off list on June 14

New Delhi, May 04: There is yet another date being added up in the list of the Delhi University admissions that the aspirant must know about. The tentative date to start the admission process at the University of Delhi is announced to be May 20. The whole process of admission may go till May 31, the university officials of Standing Committee of Academic Council declared.

Rasal Singh, a member of the committee states “This is just a tentative schedule which requires the approval of the Academic Council.” When asked about the ECA criteria, Rasal states “Only those sports which are a part of and played in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games or Asian Games will be accepted by the university. Games like men’s softball will be excluded.”

The first cut off list of DU admission 2019 is expected to be released on June 14. The varsity is also looking on the suggestions of giving 1% relaxation to the students who are a pass out of government and rural schools.

Expected changes in DU admission 2019 this year

The University of Delhi has been working on many changes to be executed in this year’s academic session. The registration fee will be increasing for all the aspirants. The candidates belonging to General category will have to pay Rs. 250 and the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories will have to pay Rs. 150 for DU application form 2019.

The varsity has also been working on introducing a 24*7 live dashboards on the homepage of students’ online portal showing all the cut off lists in each college and each course along with the availability of seats in each college. The university will be introducing an ‘Online Marks Calculator’ to make the calculation of ‘Best of Four’ aggregate marks easy for the candidates.

The university has planned on keeping the strength of ECA/Sports students till only 10% out of the total strength of the class.

The crux of the discussion is that the whole trail of the Delhi University admission dates has been speculated since the month of April. The university officials are coming up with new dates every day or week which is resulting in the increase in the level of nervousness and curiosity in the hearts of the aspirants.
