NEW DELHI: Dyal Singh Evening College, affiliated with the Delhi University has invited online applications for the appointment of assistant professors in various departments. The last date to apply for the DU assistant professor post is April 30, 2022, or within two weeks from the date of publication of the advertisement in the employment news. Candidates can apply for the post at colrec.du.ac.in. Candidates can also find the detailed advertisement on the Dyal Singh Evening College official website at dsce.du.ac.in.

There are about 79 vacancies at Dyal Singh College for the post of assistant professor in various departments such as commerce, computer applications, economics, English, EVS, Hindi, history, political science, Sanskrit and Tamil.

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500 to apply for the post. This is applicable only to unreserved, Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) and women are exempted from paying the application fee.

Delhi University Recruitment: Eligibility criteria for assistant professor

Candidates are required to fulfil the following criteria to be eligible to apply for the assistant professor vacancies at the Dyal Singh College.

  • The candidate should possess a master’s degree with at least 55% marks in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • The applicant must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)

or

  • The candidate should have a PhD degree from a foreign university or institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the world University ranking (at any time) by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), The Times Higher Education (THE) or The Academic Ranking Of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University(Shanghai).
