NEW DELHI: Delhi University will be building a research facility centre dedicated to the study of plant sciences. The new research centre will be built at Shahbad Dairy in Rohini and it will focus on teaching and researching different branches of plant science which consists of agriculture, horticulture and plant genetics.

The area for the new research facility centre was inspected by the Vice-Chancellor, PC Joshi, and the university team. The university will soon start the research centre to help students study and research plant sciences.

Currently, Delhi University does not offer any courses in agriculture or forestry. However, the research centre building at Shahbad Dairy on 40 acres of land will soon provide various courses in agriculture, horticulture and plant genetics.

Earlier, the University of Delhi had started the DU 2021 admission for foreign national candidates on April 8. The last date for foreign national candidates to apply for DU admission 2021 for UG and PG programmes is May 31 and June 29, respectively.
