NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the information brochure of Diplomate of National Board Post-Diploma Centralised Entrance Test (DNB PDCET). The brochure has been released at nbe.edu.in. As per the brochure, DNB PDCET application form 2021 will be released on March 25 from 3 pm onwards. Only the eligible candidates can register for the DNB PDCET exam till April 14, 2021.

DNB PDCET 2021 brochure has been released with six major changes. DNB PDCET prospectus contains changes related to registration fees, exam timings and pattern, tie-breaking method, exam centres and documents required.

DNB PDCET 2021 changes

Candidates can check the latest changes as per the prospectus of DNB PDCET 2021 below.

  • Hike in DNB PDCET 2021 application fees: This year, the registration fees is Rs 5,900, including the taxes. Last year, the amount to be paid for DNB PDCET exam was Rs 4,500. The application fee can be paid through credit/ debit cards or net banking.

  • Lesser number of questions: There will be a total of 120 multiple choice questions in each paper from the concerned speciality. While last year, as many as 200 MCQs were asked from eight specialities.

  • DNB PDCET 2021 exam time changed: With the lesser number of questions, the exam time and duration has been changed. DNB PDCET 2021 will be conducted for two hours from 2 pm to 4 pm. Last year, the exam was held for two and a half hours from 9 am to 11.30 am.

  • Exemption of Aadhaar Card as identity proof: The documents to be carried at the exam centre are - PAN card, Passport, Driving License and Voter ID. Aadhaar Card has not been included as a document to carry at the DNB PDCET 2021 exam.

  • DNB PDCET exam centres 2021 decreased: The exam will now be conducted in 23 cities in India. Last year, DNB PDCET exam was held in 24 cities. In the year 2021, Noida has been merged with Delhi-NCR.

  • A new tie-breaking method added: The DNB PDCET result will be calculated after breaking a tie between the scores of two or more candidates. As per the DNB PDCET 2021 inter-se merit criteria, candidates having a lesser number of negative responses in the exam will be allotted a higher rank position.

DNB PDCET 2021 exam

The NBE will conduct DNB PDCET exam on May 9, 2021, for admission to 1,856 post-diploma seats offered in 942 colleges under 14 various specialties. Candidates must have completed Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and PG Diploma can appear for DNB PDCET entrance test 2021.
