DSSSB announces 1,841 vacancies for TGT, PGT posts; registration from August 17

NEW DELHI: Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced 1,841 vacancies for teachers recruitment 2023. The application process for the DSSSB recruitment 2023 will begin from August 17 on the official website, dsssb.delhi.gov.in.

The total vacancies include 47 postgraduate teachers (PGT) and 842 trained graduate teachers (TGT). “Only online applications will be accepted. Applications received through any other mode shall stand summarily rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard,” the board said. The last date to submit the DSSSB application form 2023 is September 15.

There are a total of 581 vacancies for TGT - special teachers and 244 statistical assistant posts will be filled through the recruitment exam.

The DSSSB recruitment exam date 2023 will be announced soon on the official website, dsssb.delhi.gov.in. The board has also uploaded the details of number of vacancies, post code, educational qualifications, salary package and more.

The application fee is Rs 100. However, women candidates and candidates belonging to schedule caste, schedule tribe, PwD (Person with Disability) and ex-serviceman category are exempted from paying application fees.

The selection will be made through a one-tier examination scheme. The passing marks for the general category is 40%. OBC candidates should secure 35% and SC, ST, PwD candidates should score 30% to qualify the exam.

The board further clarified that no change in category will be allowed after submission of the application form.
