DU 2019 Admission: Delhi University likely to release application form on May 24

Download NowNEW DELHI, MAY 21: Delhi University has yet again delayed the admission process for academic session 2019-20. DU admission 2019 process was scheduled on May 20 after multiple postpones by admission committee this year. However, the varsity again decided to postpone the release of application forms in advent of Lok sabha elections outcome on May 23. The release of DU application forms for UG programmes is now scheduled for May 24. Prof. Rajeev Gupta of Delhi University confirmed that the admissions for UG and PG will take place separately. DU admission forms for PG courses are likely to release on May 21 or May 22. Delhi University conducts an entrance test for admission in PG programmes including M.A, M.Sc and M.Com.

Earlier, the University of Delhi had also asked NTA to conduct entrance test for DU admissions, to which NTA has approved a green signal. Speaking to a news agency, The Director General, NTA Vineet Joshi said “We have already received the proposal and have given a nod now they (DU) have to decide the rules of conducting the exam and we will reach a conclusion thereafter.” Further, Prof. Rajeev Gupta said “ The exam will only be for the courses for which entrance is already a mandate and no new courses are being brought under the ambit. The pattern and syllabus for the exam are also to remain the same.”
The university has also updated curriculum of as many as 75 UG courses in the official website of Delhi University. The revised curriculum of undergraduate courses from 28 departments will exist for public review until May 31.
The University of Delhi conducts entrance examination for admissions in few undergraduate programmes including B.Tech, B.A Hons. Humanities and Social Sciences, B.A Hons. Business Economics, B.A Hons. Multimedia and Mass Communication, Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Bachelor of Business Administration, etc.
