DU to start PG, BTech, LLB classes from August 1; extends summer vacation till July 31

Download NowNEW DELHI : The University of Delhi has issued the academic calendar for the postgraduate programmes, BTech programmes, five-year integrated programmes in LLB, BA LLB (Honours) and BBA LLB (Honours) for semester 1 and Semester 2. Accordingly, the classes for odd semesters will begin from August 1. The university has extended the summer vacation of existing students till July 31 to implement the calendar.

“In order to give effect to the above mentioned Academic Calendar for the Academic Session 2024-25, summer vacation notified in the existing Academic Calendar for the Postgraduate Programmes for the academic session 2023-24 has been extended from 22nd July 2024 to 31" July, 2024,” the university said in an official notification.
As per the DU academic calendar 2024-25, the mid semester break will be provided from October 27 to November 3 and classes post break will begin from November 4. The semester exams for theory subjects will be conducted from December 10 and winter break will be announced on December 29.
Earlier in May, the university postponed the summer vacation to June 14-July 21 in a modification to last year’s academic calendar. Earlier, the break was scheduled from June 7 to July 21.
