“The registration process for the undergraduate admissions is likely to begin from the third or fourth week of July. It will not begin on July 15 as the results will not be out by then. The Supreme Court has given a deadline of July 31 for the results to be declared so the process will also begin a few days before the results are announced,” Rajeev Gupta, chairperson of DU’s admissions, said, as per the report.
Admission to the majority of the undergraduate courses in Delhi University is done with the help of Class 12th marks. With the announcement of a single common entrance test for admissions to central universities from this year, Delhi University has announced that it will equal weightage to both CUCET and board examinations for UG admissions. But the final decision on both CUCET and DU admissions is yet to be confirmed by the university.
The acting Vice-chancellor of Delhi university, PC Joshi, who is also a part of the CUCET 7 member committee, had earlier said that a decision on CUCET 2021 exam will be taken within 10 days by the ministry of education. With the recent cabinet reshuffle and the appointment of the new education minister , students are setting eyes on an early call on the CUCET examination.
