DU Admission 2021: Know last year cut off trends and best of four marks

NEW DELHI: With the announcement of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and many state boards Class 12th results, the students might have started looking for options in higher studies. Of all the various options available, Delhi University is considered as one of the most competitive places to get admission in because of its reputed colleges and popularity amongst the student communities.
The Delhi University will start the DU admission process for UG merit based admission on August 2 and the last date of registration will be August 31. The DU cut off 2021 for the first round will be released between September 7 and 10. The DU cut off is prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in the Class 12th examination. The Delhi University cut off goes as high as 100% for some of the popular programmes and colleges.
DU best of four calculation
The DU best of four is the calculation that helps in the preparation of the DU cut off lists. This year, the CBSE board has announced the Class 12 results using an evaluation criteria considering 40% marks based on pre boards, mid-term exams and unit tests, 30% marks based on Class 11th final exam marks and the remaining 30% from the best of three of Class 10 marks. The majority of the applications that Delhi University receive comes from the students belonging to the CBSE board. The University of Delhi had earlier announced that the DU UG admissions will be done based on merit and the DU cutoff will be calculated as per past practice.
In DU best of four calculation, the university considers the aggregate percentage of 4 subjects in which they have scored the highest marks in the Class 12 exam, including one relevant subject, one language subject and two lists A subjects.

DU last year cut off trends
The Delhi University cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks at which the students become eligible for admission to DU colleges.
