NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (DU) has received 52,790 applications on the first day of its undergraduate (UG) admission process. The university has started accepting applications for admission to its UG programmes through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The CSAS portal was launched on Wednesday, June 14. Around 71,000 seats are on offer this year and DU has 78 UG programmes and 198 BA programme combinations through its 68 colleges.
The university has issued a set of instructions that applicants will have to follow to complete the UG admission process. Admission to all UG programmes will be done through the CSAS portal on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate 2023 (CUET UG 2023). DU is likely to declare the first round of allocation-cum-admissions in the second week of July.

The CSAS UG 2023 includes applying to the university, filling the preferences for programmes and colleges and allocation cum admisison of seats.
There is one-time CSAS UG 2023 application fee (non-refundable). For the UR, OBC-NCL and EWS categories, the candidate will have to pay Rs 250, while it is Rs 10 for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwBD. Candidates applying for BFA will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 400, which is non-refundable. For applying to ECA and Sports supernumerary quota, there is an additional fee of Rs100 for each quota.
