NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (DU) has decided to conduct a mop-up round for undergraduate admissions 2024 for certain colleges and programmes only. Admission to the mop-up round will be through the merit score in the qualifying exam, as per the programme-specific eligibility criteria. As per the schedule, the registration DU UG admission 2024 mop-up round will commence today, September 27.
Candidates who have not been allocated a seat will have to apply on the portal, ugadmission.uod.ac.in/mopup/index.php. DU will display the vacant seats for the mop-up round on the admission website, admission.uod.ac.in.
The registration fee for applicants belonging to the Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes - Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories is Rs 250. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates will have to make payment of Rs 100.
However, those candidates who already registered on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.

DU UG mop-up round 2024 admission guidelines
The university issued the following instructions for aspirants wishing to apply for the mop-up admission round:
- Candidates must register with a valid email ID.
- Candidates who are already admitted to any programme or college on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2024 score through the CSAS portal, are not eligible for the mop-up round.
- CSAS UG 2024 platform will be suspended during the mop-up round.
- While registering, candidates must ensure that their documents are updated and valid as they will be checked at the time of admission by the colleges.
- At the time of admission, the colleges will check the minimum eligibility, program-specific eligibility, category certificates and other aspects.
- While taking admission, candidates must submit an undertaking that he or she is not admitted in any other college of DU for the academic session 2024-25 as on date of admission.
- No admission shall be granted based on undertaking for extension of time for submitting the required documents.
- No admission shall be done on seats under the Supernumerary Quota (except for PwBD).
- Admission fees can be submitted only through the mop-up admission portal.
DU UG Registration 2024: How to apply for mop-up round?
Students can follow the steps given below to register for the mop-up round:
- Go to mop-up admission portal and click on "NEW REGISTRATION"
- Register and complete your profile
- Ensure that the marks filled in the academic detail section are correct. Only the candidates who have passed Class 12 will be considered.
- Now, login to dashboard and select the programmes and colleges
- Wait for approval from the College and pay the fees to complete the admission.
