NEW DELHI: A total of 46,171 students have so far secured seats in the undergraduate programmes of the University of Delhi (DU) for the academic session 2024-25, according to the official data. Over 97,000 candidates were allocated seats in the first round of DU UG admission 2024 based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2024.

Of candidates who applied on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG 2024 portal and filled choices, 83,678 accepted the seats allocated in the first round of admissions. 11,224 selected ‘freeze’ to consider their decision on seat confirmation while 27,613 opted for seat upgradation.

The last date to make fee payment to confirm admissions is August 21. The first allocation list was released on August 16 and students were able to accept the seats by August 18. The colleges then verified and approved the online applications till today, August 20.

DU received over 2.45 lakh applications for UG admissions 2024 while 1.85 lakh applicants submitted their course and college choices.

DU Admission 2024

For the second round of DU UG CSAS 2024 allocation, the university will display the vacant seats on August 22. Those students who opted for upgrade will be able to re-order their preferences between August 22 and 23.

The university is conducting UG admissions in three phases – phase 1 for registration, phase 2 for filling programme and college combinations, and phase 3 for seat allocation. Through CSAS, DU is going to fill around 70,000 UG seats in various disciplines.
