Education Minister Live Now: Pokhriyal says 2021 board exam may be held after February

Answering a question from a Delhi based teacher, Kiran, about the postponement of CBSE Board exams 2021, The education minister said, ' The CBSE exams will be held after February. Right now we are not in the situation to conduct the board exams in January and February.'

A teacher has raised a query on the reduction of the syllabus. He asked, 'will there be any reduction in the syllabus of higher education entrance exams? For this, education minister live on Twitter said, some boards have reduced the syllabus by 30% while some not. The exam pattern will be modified. There will be a total of 90 questions and you will have to answer 75 questions'. 

A teacher from Jharkhand has raised a query during #EducationMinisterGoesLive. He asked the education minister, 'How to teach students who are unable to attend online classes due to lack of mobiles, internet and digital mediums?.

While answering the same, the education minister said, 'As of now, we have 32 Swayam Prabha’s channels which are available on various TV network platforms. Apart from this, students can attend radio classes. Around 800 radio programme. Till then, we are reaching to the students through TV and radio classes. 

Around 5 lakh teachers from CBSE, KVS, JNV, NVS were trained during COVID19 pandemic

CBSE trained around 4 lakh 80 thousand teachers for online teaching. while 15 thousand teachers from KVS were trained and the number for JNVs is around 09 thousand teachers. Education Minister added, NVS also provided online evaluation training.

While answering a question from a teacher on mental and physical during COVID-19, the Education Minister said, ' Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal says his ministry has done different activities to keep the mental health of students balanced during the time of the pandemic. Fit India Movement, online yoga sessions, online programs, and various other activities are part of it.'

Mentioning the National Education Policy 2020, the education minister said, 'Students should have values and life skills. National Education Policy is introduced to make students a good citizen and a better human being'. 

National Curriculum Framework will be introduced. This will aim to make the textbooks more interesting. The curricullum will have creative thinking and other stuff included in it. 

The education minister, during his live interaction on Twitter, said, 'India will become the first country to introduce artificial intelligence in school curriculum'. 

"Our educationist will keep on researching and trying new things to improve the teaching process. Teachers are powerful people. It is easier to become IAS professional but difficult to be a teacher," Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said.

Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal said, "Being a teacher is tough because they have to make leaders". He is now answering the queries of teachers now. 

During the education minister live webinar, he is asking teachers to suggest exam dates for CBSE Board exams 2021.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has conducted the last webinar on December 10, 2020. In the webinar, the Education Minister has interacted with the students and addresses their concerns regarding the CBSE board exam 2021,  JEE Main 2021, and NEET 2021. He also shared his views on national education policy 2020. 

CBSE board 2021 exams will be conducted in offline mode

In the previous webinar, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal made it clear that Class 10 and 12 board exams will be conducted in pen and paper mode only.

Changes in CBSE board exam pattern 2021

As per reports, CBSE Board has revised the exam pattern for Class 12. Analysing the sample papers released by the Board, the teachers have observed that the weightage on multiple-choice questions has seen an increase of 10 per cent.

CBSE board 2021 syllabus reduced

Earlier, CBSE Board had reduced the Class 10 and 12 syllabus by 30 per cent for the academic session 2020-21. The syllabus has been reduced to lessen the burden of the students and let them prepare for the examination without unnecessary stress.

NIOS students have requested the education minister to promote them in exams of the October session which are all set to be conducted in January 2021.

Students demand postponement of CBSE board exam 2021

Students and their guardians have replied on the tweet of the minister that they want the CBSE exam date 2021 to be postponed until May 2021. They have requested for the exam postponement due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
