NEW DELHI: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal `Nishank' is live now on Twitter and Facebook to interact with the teachers regarding the upcoming board exams.

Teachers across the country have shared their queries or suggestions using the hashtag #EducationMinisterGoesLive on Twitter and Facebook. The live webinar was earlier planned to be held on December 17, which was later postponed. Check the details about the education minister live updates here.

The education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal during his live webinar said that the CBSE board exams will be held after February 2021. The exams will be conducted in offline mode only.

Answering a question from a Delhi based teacher, Kiran, about the postponement of CBSE Board exams 2021, The education minister said, ' The CBSE exams will be held after February. Right now we are not in the situation to conduct the board exams in January and February.'

A teacher has raised a query on the reduction of the syllabus. He asked, 'will there be any reduction in the syllabus of higher education entrance exams? For this, education minister live on Twitter said, some boards have reduced the syllabus by 30% while some not. The exam pattern will be modified. There will be a total of 90 questions and you will have to answer 75 questions'.

While answering the same, the education minister said, 'As of now, we have 32 Swayam Prabha’s channels which are available on various TV network platforms. Around 5 lakh teachers from CBSE, KVS, JNV, NVS were trained during COVID19 pandemic

CBSE trained around 4 lakh 80 thousand teachers for online teaching. while 15 thousand teachers from KVS were trained and the number for JNVs is around 09 thousand teachers. Education Minister added, NVS also provided online evaluation training.

CBSE board 2021 syllabus reduced
