NEW DELHI: South Indian Bank, in association with the Enactus - Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, has invited applications for its hackathon ‘SIB Finathon’. For information regarding the SIB Finathon, including registration details and real-time event updates, aspirants can visit at southindianbank.com/finathon.

Three hackathon events – gamification, virtual branch, and hyper-personalisation of the mobile application – will be organised at the ‘SIB Finathon’. Aspirants can submit their application till October 10.

Background wave

The event will be held in two phases, an online screening and shortlisting round, which will be followed by the finale. The entries will be reviewed by an expert panel. The panel will select 15 teams to participate in the co-creation camp at IIT Delhi. Teams selected for the camp will be provided guidance and mentorship by South Indian Bank, IIT Delhi faculty, and experts from event partners such as Mindgate Solutions, OneCard and OSTTRA. The finale will be held at IIT Delhi campus on November 4 and 5. The top three teams will be awarded a total cash prize of Rs 6 lakhs.

Eligibility criteria

Students of IITs, engineering scholars, technology enthusiasts, and working professionals can participate in the event. The SIB Finathon accepts participants from all walks of life, irrespective of prior development experience or background. Aspirants should be Indian citizens and 18 years or older. They should have access to the internet.

In addition to the hackathon, SIB Finathon will also host a conclave featuring distinguished speakers from the banking, financial services, insurance and technology domains. The conclave will facilitate panel discussions, ample networking opportunities and interactive sessions to enrich the overall experience of participants.
