ESIC 2018 Mains Exam begins in online mode; know details here

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 15:
The mains exam of ESIC 2018 has begun for the recruitment of Social Security Officer (SSO)/Manager Gr-II/Superintendent. The exam is being conducted in online mode for a total of 6202 candidates who have qualified the preliminary exam held on November 3, 2018. Only those candidates have been allowed in the examination hall who have brought their admit card of mains exam along with one of the prescribed photo ID proofs like Aadhar card, Voter ID card, PAN card, Passport, Driving license etc.
Candidates appearing in the mains exam have been given 2 hours to answer 150 questions. The questions are being asked from four different sections - Reasoning/Intelligence, General/Economy/Financial/Insurance Awareness, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. Barring the English Language section, candidates can answer the other sections bilingually - English or Hindi. The exam is being conducted for a total of 200 marks in which 1/4th marks is being deducted for each wrong response given by the candidates. The marks obtained in the mains exam will only be considered while preparing the final merit list.
All those who will qualify in the mains exam of ESIC 2018 will be selected for the third phase - Computer Skill Test and Descriptive. Candidates five times the number of total vacancies will be shortlisted for the third phase of examination based on their merit. The third phase will be of qualifying nature only and marks obtained by the candidates in this phase will not be considered while preparing the final merit list.
ESIC 2018 exam is being conducted in three phases - Prelims, Mains, and Computer Skilled Test & Descriptive Test. The examination authority has announced a total of 539 vacancies in its Social Security Officer cadre.
