NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released notice for conducting Foreign Dental Graduate Examination - FDGE, a screening test held for dental graduates. NBE has announced the FDGE dates. The dental screening test will be conducted on December 4, 2020, in a computer-based mode. NBE released the information bulletin for FDGE on November 13, 2020. The link to the FDGE application form will be updated as released. Candidates who successfully register for the screening test on the NBE website can download the FDGE admit card from November 27, 2020.
FDGE is conducted to provide registration certificate from the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC). Only the aspirants who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply for FDGE test 2020.

FDGE Eligibility Criteria 2020
Before applying for Foreign Dental Graduate Test, candidates can check the eligibility conditions to know whether they are eligible or not.

Candidate should be an Indian/ OCI citizen

He/she must have completed BDS from a recognised institution outside India
-
FDGE aspirants must have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

BDS degree should be completed in regular mode.

Duration of the BDS degree should be as specified by the DCI

FDGE syllabus 2020
The FDGE exam is divided under two papers - paper I and paper II. Candidates will get 120 minutes for attempting 100 questions in paper I and 180 minutes for attempting 150 questions in paper II. Syllabus for paper I and paper II of FDGE screening test can be checked from the table below.

What after FDGE exam 2020
After conducting the exam, NBE will announce the FDGE result on its website by December 20, 2020.

FDGE cutoff 2020 is 50% in Paper I and Paper II individually.

To pass FDGE screening test, aspirants must secure the minimum percentage requirement
-
The qualified FDGE candidates will be called for a viva-voce examination.

The weightage of the viva-voce examination will be 50 marks.
-
For qualifying, candidates need to score a minimum of 25 marks i.e. 50% in the viva-voce examination.
