New Delhi, June 21: With effect from academic session 2019-20, candidates, aspiring for admission to undergraduate programmes in DU colleges, have to shell out more bucks than earlier, as several affiliated colleges of DU have revised their annual fee structure by at least Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 8,000. According to media reports, the information about the revision in the fee has been shared by DU officials through a bulletin.

The academicians and college authorities have shared that the reason for fee hike is insufficient funds. As per the revised fee, Gargi College has increased the fee by Rs. 2500 to Rs. 3000, out of which the fee for BA (Hons) Business Economics has been raised by Rs. 14,000. After the revision, the fee for this course now stands at Rs. 41,220, whereas earlier it was Rs. 26,875 last year.

Further, fee hike at colleges like Aryabhatta College, Delhi College for Arts and Commerce, Bhaskaracharya College for Applied Sciences, Deshbandhu College, Indraprastha College for Women, Hindu College, Miranda House, Motilal Nehru College and Ramjas College is between Rs. 1500 to Rs. 3500.
