Delhi University: Fire breaks out at DU college auditorium, no casualties reported

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at Delhi University's Ram Lal Anand College auditorium on Tuesday morning, an official of the Delhi Fire Services said. No injuries have been reported so far, he said, adding that firefighting operations are underway. "A call was received at 8:55 am about the fire and five fire tenders were rushed to the site. No injuries have been reported so far," Atul Garg, director, Delhi Fire Services, said.

The University of Delhi has recently asked the College of Art, which is affiliated with it, to start the admission process. DU administration also informed the Delhi government that the college will not be de-affiliated from the university.

The DU admission policy 2022-23 was also released recently. DU vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh said that the new admission policy is a landmark policy, and the DU admission process will be done through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2022) issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for all the central universities of India.
