NBEMS to conduct FMGE exam on June 28. Interested candidates should apply by May 11.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is inviting applications for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination, FMGE June exam 2026. It will be conducted on June 28, 2026, in a computer-based mode at various centres across the country. NBEMS has posted the information bulletin with eligibility criteria, fee structure, exam pattern, and other details on official website. Interested and eligible candidates should ensure to apply online by May 11 (11:55 pm).

FMGE is a mandatory screening test for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) who have obtained their medical degrees from foreign institutions and wish to practise in India. Those who qualify the examination become eligible for registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Councils.

FMGE June 2026 schedule
Exam city intimation for applicants will be released on June 17, 2026. Admit cards will be issued on June 24, 2026. The examination will be held on June 28, and results will be declared by July 28, 2026.

FMGE June 2026: Steps to apply
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned here to apply for the FMGE June 2026:
- Visit the official NBEMS website: natboard.edu.in
- On the homepage, navigate to the FMGE June 2026 tab
- Click the registration link
- Fill in the required details, upload documents in the prescribed format
- Cross-check the details before paying application fee
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future references
Information bulletin reads, "Candidates should ensure before submission of online application form that they shall qualify the final examination for their primary medical qualification by the prescribed cut-off date and their primary medical qualification shall be confirmed by the concerned Indian Embassy, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated. If it is found at any point of time that their primary medical qualification is not recognized, the candidature / result shall be cancelled / deemed to be cancelled."
