GAT-B, BET registrations end today at dbt.nta.ac.in; Correction window opens on April 3

The NTA will hold the GAT-B and GAT-BET exam on April 23 in two separate shifts. Candidates can apply at dbt.nta.ac.in till today.

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be closing the applications for the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) and GAT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2023. Candidates can apply for the biotechnology tests on April 23, 2023 at official websites- dbt.nta.ac.in or nta.ac.in.

The GAT-B and GAT-BET exam will be conducted for a duration for 3 hours each in separate shifts. The first shift will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM, will be for GAT-B candidates while second shift will be for applicants who registered for GAT-BET will have to appear in the second shift, which will begin from 3 PM and conclude at 6 PM.

GAT-B exam eligibility 2023

  • For MTech programmes, candidates are required to have a BTech or BE degree with a minimum of 60% (general, EWS and OBC category) or 55% (SC,ST and PwD) aggregate.
  • Only those candidates are eligible for admission to MSc programmes, who have completed their graduation in the respective field with a minimum of 60% (general, EWS and OBC category) or 55% (SC,ST and PwD) aggregate from a recognized university.
  • For the GAT-B 2023 eligibility criteria of M.VSc Animal Biotechnology programme, candidates must have a B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST) are required to have 50% marks.

GAT-B and GAT-BET is held for admission to department of biotechnology supported postgraduate (PG) programme in Biotechnology and allied areas in participating Institutions (GAT-B) and for award of DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology (BET). The exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode and the medium of question paper will be English.
