Try NowNEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 1 - IIT Madras is all set to start off GATE 2019 from tomorrow i.e., February 2. The four day examination, which will witness candidates appearing for 24 different papers, will be conducted on February 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2019. Since the examination is of a national scale, there are a few things which has to be kept in mind while making those final preparations and on the much awaited exam date.
-
Avoid studying new topics or chapters - One of the major point to avoid during the last minute preparation is to check and try to study chapters and topics which have not been tackled before. The best strategy is to keep revising what has been previously studied in order to be more confident in what has already been dealt with.
-
Avoid making same mistakes in mock test - While attempting the mock test, the candidates should keep a track of all the mistakes done and revise them. This will ensure that such mistakes are not done repeatedly and bring better results.
-
Avoid attempting unsure questions - It is best to attempt only those questions whose answers are known. There will be better chances of scoring well if only those questions are answered by the candidates.
-
Avoid being unfocused during numerical questions - The candidates should remain careful while attempting numerical questions where the units and their conversions between the questions and answers play the trick. To avoid negative marking, focus on the units.
-
Avoid being stressed : This is the most important point to avoid. Being stressed often leads to wrong selection of answers during the examination which might lead to loss of scores and performance. Sleep well before the exam and make sure to maintain inner and mental peace. Eat well and stay healthy.
GATE 2019 is conducted annually for M.Tech admissions and PSU recruitments. The result of the examination will be announced on March 16, 2019.
