GATE 2019 Final Analysis: Official response sheet to be available soon

New Delhi, February 11: The last session of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) was concluded yesterday. The Civil Engineering paper was scheduled on last day in both the session which witnessed around 1.5 lakh aspirants. The authority conducted the national level exam on February 2,3 and 9,10 across various exam centres in the country as well as 6 exam centres abroad for all the 24 papers. The final analysis of GATE 2019 has been released by various experts and coaching centres. The analysis comprises difficulty level, probably cut off numbers, probable answer key and other important information that will help students in planning their course for the future.
As per the subject experts, technical part of CE paper in forenoon shift was moderate while general aptitude part was easy. The questions were evenly designed with some topics asked variably over the others. Topics like solid mechanics and engineering mathematics fetched most questions and there were a total of 26 questions from to NAT part. In the afternoon session of CE, there were a total of 25 questions from NAT with most from core topics while others from Mathematics. The paper was moderate in difficulty level.
The GATE Electrical Engineering paper which was held on February 9 was easy in difficulty level. Most questions were easy with 2-3 questions being tricky from power electronics. What left students amazed was the GATE ECE paper. Most students found ECE paper to be moderately difficult with EDC and communication topics covered most. A total of 25 questions were from NAT part with most from Analog and Circuit topic.
IIT Madras has also released the student response sheets for paper held on February 2 and 3. Response sheets for exam held on February 9 and 10 could be expected anytime soon. IIT Madras will also release the answer key which would help students in estimating their score. The results for GATE 2019 will be announced on March 16, 2019. The examination is a gateway for students to M.Tech/ME and PhD programmes at IITs, IISc, NITs, GFTIs and other Universities in India. Not only this, GATE scores are used by several PSUs for recruitment.
