New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has started the procedure to contest the provisional answer key of GATE 2020, which was released on February 18. The candidates can now submit their objections to the released answer key till February 21, 2020 (6 PM). To move forward with the objection process, the candidates will have to log in through the GOAPS portal.
Candidates will be able to challenge the provisional answer key by paying Rs. 500 as a fee for each question against which the objection is raised. If the payment is not done, then the objection will not be accepted. In case, the objection is accepted by the authorities, then the fee will be refunded to the candidate. Justification regarding the objection also has to be provided by the candidates.
Procedure to challenge provisional answer key of GATE 2020
Go to the official website of GOAPS 2020 (appsgate.iitd.ac.in)
Candidates will have to login using their enrolment ID and password.
Click on "Contest Answer Key"
While challenging the answer key, the candidates will have to enter the correct question number.
A preview of the selected question will also be shown on the screen. It has to be noted that the right section and question number has to be selected.
The candidates will have to submit their justification for objection (maximum 500 characters) and also upload the corresponding document.
The document uploaded for justification also needs to mention the section name and question number
Payment has to be done by the candidates.
It has to be noted that if the question number is not correctly mentioned, then the challenge will not be accepted. The submitted objections will be checked by the authorities and the final decision will be made, which will not be open for change. The final answer key will be released after all of the objections are assessed.
GATE 2020 was conducted on February 1, 2, 8 and 9 as a computer based test. The entrance examination was held for 25 engineering papers.
