GATE 2021 exam city change facility to open from Oct 28; check details

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will commence the facility to change exam city from October 28 at appsgate.iitb.ac.in. Registered candidates who have paid the application fee will be allowed to change their already selected exam city as per their preference till November 13, 2020. Only one chance will be provided to the candidates for the correction of exam cities.

To make the changes, the candidates will have to login into their GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) account by entering their enrollment ID / email ID and password. The exam city has to be changed as per their preference and submitted before the final date. No extra fee has to be paid for the changing of exam city centre.
The candidates will also be allowed to edit details of their category and change their previously selected exam papers. However, a certain amount of fee has to be paid to make these changes.
Candidates who have defects in their submitted GATE 2021 application form will also be notified by the authorities till October 21, 2020. The errors have to be rectified by the candidates otherwise they will be disqualified. Before the release of the admit card, three lists of rejected application forms along with the corresponding reason will also be made available in online mode so that the candidates can correct it. The list will consist of - application forms rejected due to duplicity; application forms rejected due to multiple submission of applications and applications which do not meet the eligibility criteria.
GATE 2021 will be conducted on February 5 to 7 and 12 to 14. The admit card for the registered candidates will be released on January 8, 2021. GATE qualified candidates will be able to apply for admission to Masters course or PSU recruitments.
