NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has removed the Sonepat and Panipat from the list of GATE 2022 exam centres. Candidates who selected Sonepat and Panipat as their preferred GATE 2022 exam city are required to change the city. Note that change in the GATE 2022 exam city can be done without paying any additional fee.

To change the GATE 2022 exam city, students are required to login at the GATE 2022 portal using the enrollment ID / email address and password.
The official GATE 2022 notification read as, “We regret to inform that the exam cities Sonepat and Panipat have been cancelled. Candidates selected in these cities are requested to change the city choice without additional fees ”.

Visit GATE 2022 website - gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
Click on the “Login” button.
Enter enrollment ID / email address and password.
Change the preferred exam centre and click on the “Submit” button.
GATE 2022 applicants were required to select their preferred exam centre while filling out the application form. The authorities opened the GATE 2022 registration process from September 2 to 30. However, students were allowed to register for the GATE 2022 exam with late fee till October 7.
The authorities opened the GATE 2022 application correction window in online mode on November 2. Candidates can edit the details mentioned incorrectly while filling out the application form till November 12. Note that apart from change in Sonepat and Panipat as exam centres, students will have to pay an additional fee for modifications.
GATE 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on February 5, 6, 12, and 13. GATE admit card 2022 will be released on January 3. GATE exam is conducted for admission into the masters program and recruitment by some public sector companies.
