GATE 2022: IITKGP exam day dos and don'ts

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur is going to conduct the GATE 2022 exam on February 5, 6, 12, and 13 in online mode. The exam conducting authority has released the GATE 2022 admit card on January 15 at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Applicants can download the GATE admit card through enrollment ID and password. Candidates appearing for the GATE 2022 exam must check the dos and don’ts.

• Applicants must reach the GATE 2022 exam centre atleast 60 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

• Candidates appearing for the examination must carry the GATE 2022 admit card along with one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre.

• Follow the GATE exam day instructions as mentioned in the admit card.

• In the view of COVID-19 pandemic, candidates have to wear the face mask throughout the exam.

• After biometric verification, applicants must check the working conditions of the system to avoid any glitch between the GATE exam 2022.

• Applicants must carry their own pen, pencil, transparent water bottle and pocket size hand sanitizer for the GATE exam.

GATE 2022 Don’ts

• Do not carry any restricted item like charts/tables/papers/books/sheets or any electronic gadget inside the GATE 2022 exam hall.

• Don't spend time on one particular question.

• Do not leave the GATE exam centre 2022 without permission from the invigilator.

• In case of any COVID-19 symptoms, candidates are advised not to leave the home/hospital as it may result in cancellation of candidature.

GATE 2022 Exam day guidelines

• Applicants appearing for the GATE exam must follow all the COVID-19 guidelines at the exam centre.

• Candidates must remove the face mask at the time of biometric verification.

• After the conclusion of the exam, applicants must submit the scribble pad to the invigilator.

• Virtual scientific calculators will be available on the computer screen of all candidates, which may be used for the numerical calculations.

• Reach the examination centre at 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
