NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will release GATE 2022 application form on the official website -gate.iitkgp.ac.in on August 30. Candidates willing to fill the GATE application form 2022 should know some important points before the registration starts to avoid mistakes while filling the application form.

GATE 2022 application form: Know important points
Candidates should consider the following points at the time of GATE registration 2022.
Website for GATE application 2022- Candidates will be able to fill the application form of GATE 2022 at gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
GATE application dates 2022- The application form of GATE 2022 will be available on the official website from August 30 to September 24. However, the GATE 2022 application form will be available for an extended period with an additional fee of Rs 500 from September 25 to October 1.
Documents required for filling GATE 2022 application form- The following documents are required for GATE 2022 registration.

Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents' name, parents' mobile number, etc.)

Address for Communication (including PIN code)

Eligibility degree details

College name and address with PIN code

GATE papers

Three choices of GATE examination cities

High-quality image of candidate's photograph conforming to the requirements specified

Good quality image of candidate's signature conforming to the requirements specified

Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate (if applicable) in pdf format

Scanned copy of PwD Certificate (if applicable) in pdf format
-
Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia (if applicable) in pdf format

Scanned copy of any one of the valid photo Identity Document: Aadhaar-UID (preferable), Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID and Driving License. The same ID, in original, must be carried to the examination hall

Net-banking/debit card/credit card/UPI details for fee payment
Choice of two papers - Candidates opting to appear in two GATE 2022 subject papers must have a primary choice of paper as their default choice. The second choice of GATE paper has to be chosen from the allowed combinations. It should be noted that combinations of papers other than that listed on the GATE website 2022 are not allowed.

GATE 2022 application fee - Candidates have to pay the application fee of GATE 2022 through the official website. The fee per GATE 2022 subject paper is given below, for two papers the amount of fee is twice that for a single paper.

Newly added GATE Subject Papers- In GATE 2022, two new subject papers have been added namely - Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (NM) and Geomatics Engineering (GE).
GATE 2022 will be conducted as an online exam on February 5, 6, 12 and 13. The admit cards for the exam will be available on January 3, 2022. GATE 2022 result will be announced on March 17.
