NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bangalore) will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 for 10 papers today. The exams will be conducted in two shifts. Papers AE, AG, BT, CS1, MT, NM and TF will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and papers CS2, ST, XE and XL from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. GATE 2024 February 10 Live

Students appearing for the exam will have to carry the GATE admit card 2024, which can be downloaded at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. They will have to carry a valid photo identity card such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID card, passport and drivers’ licence. Students will have to report at the exam centre at least 1 hour before the start of the test.

The IISc Bangalore has also changed the exam centres for students who were to appear for the exam in Haldwani. The students have now been assigned new centres in Bareilly. The GATE admit card 2024 download link for such students has also been made available on the official website, goaps.iisc.ac.in. The decision was taken following the imposition of curfew in the Uttarakhand town after violence over madrassa demolition. The new centres are following:

The students will have to attempt 65 questions in three hours. The question paper will be worth 100 marks. Out of the total questions, 10 will be carrying a total of 15 marks from general aptitude (GA).

GATE 2024: Important guidelines

Candidates will have to follow the following guidelines for the GATE 2024 exam.

  • Candidates will be allowed entry in the exam hall on production of their GATE admit card 2024 and valid photo identity card
  • Students will have to report 90 minutes to the exam centre before the exam starts
  • In case of any delay, no student will be allowed to login 30 minutes after the start of the exam
  • Students will have to bring their own pen and exchange of stationery items will not be allowed
  • Candidates will be allowed to log in and read the instructions 20 minutes before the start of GATE 2024 exam
  • Candidates will have to carry their clear water bottle, mask, and pocket-sized hand sanitizer
  • Use of any unfair methods during the exam will lead to disqualification.
