Check NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bangalore) will end the regular application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 on September 29. Eligible candidates can apply for the GATE exam 2024 without paying the late fee on the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

The IISc Bangalore will hold the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10 and 11 next year. Candidates will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,800 to register for the GATE 2024. However, female students and candidates belonging from SC, ST and PwD categories will have to pay Rs 900 for applying for the exam.
GATE 2024: Extended registration date
The IISc will allow candidates to apply for the GATE registration with payment of a late fee till October 13. Candidates will have to pay an additional Rs 500 as late fee while applying for the GATE 2024 from September 30 onwards.
GATE 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for GATE 2024 exam should have passed the final year of their bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or science or arts or commerce from a recognised university. or Candidates pursuing their third year of an undergraduate degree will also be eligible for the the examination.
Students pursuing their studies abroad should have completed or are currently pursuing their bachelor's or equivalent degree (at least three years) in engineering or technology or science or arts or commerce. Indian nationals and foreign candidates from Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are eligible for the GATE 2024.
The IISc Bangalore has received nearly 25% more GATE 2024 applications compared to last year. In 2022, about 6.70 lakh candidates registered for the GATE exam.
