The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Guwahati) has opened the GATE 2026 answer key challenge window. Candidates can raise objections to the provisional answer key through the official GOAPS portal, gate2026.iitg.ac.in, until February 28.

Candidates will be able to raise objections by logging in to the objection link using their GATE enrollment ID and password. To challenge the GATE answer key, candidates will have to pay Rs 500 per question.
The GATE exam was conducted in two shifts on February 7, 8, 14, and 15. The forenoon session was held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, and the afternoon session from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The GATE exam 2026 was conducted for a total of 30 papers.
The GATE 2026 scorecard can be downloaded from March 27 to May 31, 2026, through the GOAPS portal. After May 31, candidates can download it by paying a fee of Rs 500 until December 31, 2026.

Provisional candidates are not allowed to challenge the GATE 2026 answer key; however, they can view their responses on the GOAPS portal. These candidates can also download the GATE response sheet, question paper, and provisional answer key from the official website, goaps.iitg.ac.in.
GATE score is used for admission to ME, MTech, MS, and PhD courses, jobs in PSUs, and research fellowships like CSIR labs.
