The admit card of GATE 2020 exam will be released on January 3 by IIT Delhi, the organising institute of exam. Admit card will be available in online mode only on the official website of GATE 2020. Students have to login to GOAPS portal through GATE website for downloading their admit card. GATE 2020 admit card will have details about the exam venue, date and time of exam, details of paper for which appearing and candidate details like name, photograph etc.
Admit card will be issued only to those candidates who filled the application form within specified dates and whose application are found in order without any error. Students must note that they will not be allowed to appear for the exam without admit card. It is thus advisable to download their admit card for appearing in the exam.
Steps to Download Admit Card
- Go to the official website of GATE 2020 at appsgate.iitd.ac.in
- Enter GATE 2020 enrollment number/email ID and password.
- Click on “Submit”
- Click on “Download Admit Card” button and check details mentioned on it
- Take two A4 sized colour printouts of the GATE admit card
GATE 2020 exam will be conducted on February 1, 2, 8 and 9 in online mode as computer based test. The result of GATE 2020 will be released on March 16. Students who will qualify the exam with minimum cutoff marks will be eligible for admission in various PG engineering courses offered by IITs, NITs, IIITs and other institutes. Students having qualified GATE are also provided scholarship by MHRD, Govt of India for pursuing their studies. Many PSUs like SAIL, BHEL, NTPC also recruits candidates with GATE score on high compensation packages.
GATE is conducted for a total of 25 engineering discipline which includes Computers Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil among others. As many as 9 lakh candidates appear for the exam every year.
