GATE Civil Paper Analysis 2021 for Paper 1 & 2; Check difficulty level, expected cut off

Try NowNEW DELHI: IIT Bombay successfully conducted the February 6 GATE 2021 exam for Civil Engineering. GATE CE paper was conducted in both shifts. The first shift was conducted from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. The second shift of the GATE 2021 exam started at 3.00 pm and concluded at 6.00 pm.
The difficulty level of the GATE 2021 CE paper was easy. Following are some of the reviews provided by the students on the GATE CE paper.
GATE Civil Paper Analysis 2021
GATE 2021 CE 1 Paper Analysis- As per the student reviews, the GATE CE-1 paper was easy. The new form of Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) was less in number. The paper had only 7-8 MSQs. The number of NAT questions was more. Transportation, Environmental Engineering, Geo technology were the most asked topics. Some other topics asked were RCC, Irrigation, SOM, Sheer strength, steel, Speed density relation, Steel Structure, Structural Analysis, Building Material, Surveying, etc.
In Engineering Mathematics, questions were asked from Volume, Probability, Triple Integration, etc.
GATE 2021 CE 2 Paper Analysis- As per the students, the GATE CE-2 paper was similar to the CE-1 paper held in the first shift. As the first shift, more NAT questions were there and fewer MSQs were asked. The most asked topics were Environmental Engineering, Geo technology, and transportation.
The previous year's GATE CE cutoff was 32.9 for General candidates; 29.6 for OBC and 21.0 for SC/ST/PH candidates.
In the first shift today, the GATE 2021 exam was conducted for three Subject papers- Civil Engineering-1 (CE-1), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), and Chemistry (CY). In the second shift, the GATE 2021 exam was conducted for five subject papers- Civil Engineering-2, Physics, Architecture, and Planning, Biomedical Engineering, Mining Engineering.
As per GATE 2021 exam dates, the next shifts for various subject papers will be held on February 7, 13, and 14, 2021.
