NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has released the COAP 2020 round 1 seat allotment result. Students can check their seat allotment status online from the official portal up to June 11. Students who have been allotted a seat also need to confirm their decision of seat acceptance up to June 11.

Candidates who accept the seat will be required to proceed with the further process of admission which include login to the admitted institute portal, payment of fees and online submission of documents. All these procedures of admission have to be completed within the dates specified in the seat allotment letter.

Students who do not want to accept the allotted seat can either accept the seat and participate in further rounds of counselling or reject the seat and participate in further rounds. There will be a total of 5 rounds of COAP 2020 counselling with additional four rounds (round A, B, C and D). Registration for COAP 2020 is open and interested students can register online for participating in the further seat allotment rounds.

COAP is the common portal of 21 IITs and IISc Bangalore to enlist the admission status of students in PG engineering courses. Only GATE qualified candidates with a valid score can participate in GATE COAP 2020 counselling. Students need to register for the counselling through COAP and also apply in the institute where admission is desired. The institute will shortlist and allot seats on the basis of their selection criteria and release the admission status in COAP portal as per the schedule.
