General Insurance Corporation of India postponed the GIC exam 2021 due to COVID-19 till the further notice.
NEW DELHI: The General Insurance Corporation of India has postponed the GIC 2021 exam due to the rapid rise of COVID-19 cases across the country. An official notice was released today on the official website of GIC which is gicofindia.com where the General Manager HR declared the postponement of GIC exam 2021 seeking the critical condition of coronavirus pandemic. As per notice, candidates are advised to keep track of the official website for the latest updates by exam authority.
GIC exam 2021 was scheduled to be conducted on May 9, which is now postponed till the further notice. The GIC 2021 exam is conducted for the post of assistant managers (Scale I) which is postponed considering the safety of students and exam authorities in this pandemic situation.

GIC exam is conducted by the General Insurance Corporation of India to recruit the assistant managers (Scale - I). In order to get selected, candidates need to qualify the three stages of the GIC recruitment exam - written test, group discussion and interview round. The final allotment as assistant manager will be done after the medical examination. A total number of 44 vacancies were released for the post of assistant managers.
GIC Assistant Manager Pay Scale
Candidates shortlisted in GIC exam as assistant managers will be paid a monthly salary of Rs. 32,795 in the pay scale of Rs. 32795 – 1610(14) – 55335 – 1745(4) – 62315, plus other admissible allowances and non-core benefits. The overall gross salary per month will be about Rs. 65,000.
