GMR Institute of Technology launches two new BTech programmes

GMR Institute of Technology in Andhra Pradesh has introduced BTech courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.
NEW DELHI: GMR Institute of Technology (GMRIT), Andhra Pradesh, has launched BTech programmes in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. The programmes are in tune with the emerging technologies, says a statement from GMRIT.
The institute has launched BTech-Computer Science (BTech-CSE) in artificial intelligence and machine learning; (BTech-CSE) in artificial intelligence and data science for the 2021-22 session. There are 60 seats in each course and the admission will be taken through AP Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET).
“The curriculum is devised to cater to the industry needs and students will be given training by internal and external faculty to equip them for holistic education. Guest lectures by subject matter experts are a regular feature as part of the learning,” said the statement.

Prasad CLVRSV, principal of GMRIT, said: “Assessing the potential opportunities of emerging technologies, GMRIT has taken another step to introduce to students AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science courses. These specializations facilitate students seeking knowledge in advanced technology. The content of the courses are future-focused and explores the broader spectrum of new-age skills like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data analytics to name a few.”

Since both machine learning and data science are rapidly evolving fields, there are vast scopes for youngsters holding professional degrees in AI & Data Science and AI and Machine Learning. Both are among top job oriented engineering courses in the country, added the GMR statement.
