New Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for admissions in Masters in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) tomorrow from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Candidates appearing for GPAT 2020 entrance examination on January 28, 2020, will be offered admission to 85,608 PG seats offered by 800 participating institutes across India.

NTA has released an official notification mentioning the number of applicants appearing for GPAT. As per the notice, a total of 50,747 and 228 Pwd candidates registered for GPAT examination at 180 centres in 107 cities from 32 States/UTs. GPAT is a computer-based examination, consisting of 125 objective type questions asked from various dimensions of pharmaceutics.

On January 25, 2020, NTA had released GPAT 2020 advisory for candidates mentioning the important exam day guidelines mentioning what and what not to follow, documents to be carried and other relevant details. It is mandatory for GATE applicants to follow the crucial do’s and don’ts as specified by NTA. Just a day is left for the exam, thus, B.Pharm graduates must keep the following points in mind before or while appearing for GPAT 2020.

GPAT 2020 Do’s and Don’ts

  • Candidates are advised to check all the mentioned details on GPAT admit card 2020 like reporting time, examination shift and venue of the centre.

  • Following documents should be carried to the examination centre without fail:

1.GPAT admit card

2.One passport size photograph

3. A valid photo identity proof in Original like (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.

  • Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items to the examination hall.

1. Stationery items such as pen, paper, pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen, eraser, calculator, electronic, pen/scanner, pen drive, etc are strictly prohibited.

2. Eatables items packed or opened are not allowed including the water bottles.

3. Electronic devices like mobile phone, earphones, microphones, pager, health-band are not allowed inside.

  • It is not necessary that there is any safekeeping of candidate’s valuables at the examination centre. Therefore, it is advised not to carry any other belonging with them.

  • Applicants are required to reach the examination centre before the gate closing time.

  • NTA has opened a control room at its headquarters along with 19 regional, 2 National, 105 city coordinators and 250 observers.

  • Authority has completed a third party audit of the examination centres.

  • Live CCTV Surveillance will be there at all examination centres to stop any kind of malpractices in the examinations.

  • There are arrangements for live viewing at remote locations and recording CCTVs Systems of all examination centres at Control Room situated in the NTA. A total of 2933 cameras have been installed at different places.

  • In order to stop cheating using communication devices, Jammers have been installed at all the Centres. A total of about 3640 jammers have been installed.
