Haryana CET-pass candidates to get Rs 9,000 per month for 2 years if unable to secure jobs: CM

Haryana CM Nayab Saini also announced implementation of categories in SC reservation in government jobs with immediate effect.

NEW DELHI: In a major announcement, the Haryana government has said that it will provide Rs 9,000 per month to Common Eligibility Test (CET) pass candidates for two years, in case the candidates don’t land a job within a year. State chief minister Nayab Saini made the announcement during the winter session of Haryana assembly.

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) conducts Haryana CET for the recruitment of Group C and Group D government jobs.

“Big announcement during the winter session of Haryana Assembly. If a CET pass candidate does not get a job, the government will give Rs 9,000 per month for 2 years,” said the chief minister’s office in a post on X.

Among other decisions regarding government recruitments, the Haryana CM announced that the classification of reservation for Scheduled Castes (SCs) in government jobs has been implemented with immediate effect. “Respecting the decision of the Honourable Supreme Court, Haryana is the first state to implement the SC classification decision. We are committed to making the life of the poor, deprived and backward classes of the society easier,” Saini wrote on X while expressing joy over the announcement.

Stating his government’s determination to provide government jobs to two lakh youth, Haryana chief minister further announced that other employment opportunities will be provided to five lakh youth and monthly stipend assistance will also be provided through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.
