Haryana PGT Recruitment Drive 2022: The essential qualification for PGT political science, physics have been amended for PGT vacancies in Mewat cadre.

NEW DELHI: The Haryana Public Service Commission has amended the post-graduate teachers (PGTs) recruitment qualification for PGT political science and physics. The HPSC will be recruiting to fill 4,476 PGTs posts of which 3,893 posts are for PGT in various subjects in Haryana Cadre and 613 posts are for PGT in Mewat cadre.
The Haryana PGT 2022 recruitment registration for these posts began on November 21 and the application deadline is December 21, 2022. Interested candidates will be able to apply on the official website, hpsc.gov.in.
As per the official announcement, the Haryana PGT exam date will be scheduled in 2nd or 3rd week of February 2023.
Qualification for PGT Political Science
As per the amendment in the service rules, the essential qualification for PGT political science in Mewat cadre is given below.
- MA Political Science or Public Administration with at least 50% marks and BEd from a recognised university.
- Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2, BA, MA with Hindi as one of the subject.
- Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) / School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
- Consistent good academic record.
Qualification for PGT Physics
- MSc Physics, Applied Physics, Nuclear Physics, Electronics Science, Electronics with at least 50% marks and BED from a recognized university.
- Matric with Hindi or Sanskrit or 10+2, BA, MA with Hindi as one of the subject.
- Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) / School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
- Consistent good academic record.
The commission defined the term "Good Academic Record" as candidates having 50% marks after taking average of any three examinations from Class 10, 12, graduation, post graduation. However, the candidate must have at least 50 percent marks in post graduation except PGT Computer Science. For PGT Computer Science, the candidate must have at least 55% marks in post graduation and graduation."
