HP TET 2019 to be held twice in June and November; registrations to begin from May 1

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 31: Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala will conduct Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test 2019 twice (June and November) from this year onwards. Besides this, HPBOSE has also declared the examination and registration details for both the sessions. An official notice by the board officials reads, “It’s to inform that HP Board of School Education is going to conduct HP TET from 2019 twice – in June and November.”

As per the announcement, the registrations for June session of HP TET 2019 will begin from May 1 and will close on May 21 (till 11.59 pm), while exam for June will be held on June 16, 17, 23 and 30.

HP TET2019 exam for November session will be conducted on November 9, 10, 12 and 17, while the application form for the same will be available from September 19 to October 9 (till 11.59 pm). Check all HP TET Exam Dates 2019 here.

Apart from announcing the dates for 2019, the board has also declared that the name of JBT has been changed to D.EL.ED, however, the name of the exam (JBT TET) has not been changed yet. Check the official notice below.

Further, the official notification reflects that HP TET 2019 will be held for 8 streams – JBT TET, Shastri TET, TGT (Non-medical) TET, Language Teacher TET, TGT (Arts) TET, TGT (Medical) TET, Punjabi TET, and Urdu TET. Though in terms of frequency, the exam will be held twice in place of the only once, there has been no other change in the exam pattern.

For June session, HP TET 2019 for JBT and Shastri will be held on June 16, while TGT (Non-medical) and Language Teacher paper will be conducted on June 17. The paper for TGT (Arts) and TGT (Medical) will be conducted on June 23 whereas the test for Punjabi and Urdu will be held on June 30.

In November, the HP TET 2019 paper for JBT and Shastri will be held on November 9, while TGT (Non-medical) and Language Teacher paper will be conducted on November 10. The paper for TGT (Arts) and TGT (Medical) will be conducted on November 12 whereas the test for Punjabi and Urdu will be held on November 17.

The notification for HP TET 2019 is expected to be announced anytime soon.

Last year, HP TET was held on September 2, 3, 8 and 9, while the result for it was declared in October. According to the official result data, candidates who appeared for Urdu TET recorded the highest success rate, while candidates who took TGT Medical TET registered the least pass percentage.
