HPCET 2026 Registration Begins; apply by April 19 for engineering, management and other courses

The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has opened the registration process for the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2026, the entrance examination conducted for admission to several undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses offered by the university and its affiliated institutes.

The online application process for HPCET 2026 began on March 13 and will remain open until April 19. Candidates seeking admission to various technical, management, pharmacy, and science programmes can submit their applications through the official HPTU website himtu.ac.in.

The entrance examination will be conducted in offline mode, and candidates will be required to appear at designated examination centres across Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. The test schedule varies depending on the course applied for, with exams scheduled over two days in May.

The HPCET 2026 entrance examination will be conducted for admission to the following courses:

• Bachelor of Technology (BTech)

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharmacy)

• Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT)

• Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)

• Tourism and Hospitality Management (MBA)

• Master of Science (MSc) Physics

• Master of Science (MSc) Environmental Sciences

The HPCET 2026 results are expected to be declared by May 21, after which the university will begin the centralized counselling process for admissions to various programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. The counselling application forms and detailed admission brochure will be released separately on the university website.
