NEW DELHI: The University of Hyderabad (UoH)'s recent Master of Technology-Information Technology (MTech-IT) graduate, Chinmayee Mohapatra, from the school of computer and information sciences, has secured an impressive placement at the ServiceNow company as a software engineer, fetching a package of Rs 47 lakhs per annum. This accomplishment marks a milestone in UoH's placement history, boasting the highest package thus far.
The rigorous selection process at ServiceNow encompassed three rounds, including two technical evaluations, followed by a final round focusing on system design and behavioural aspects, stated UoH. Chinmayee's success highlights the quality of education and training provided by the university, positioning its graduates competitively in the industry, UoH added.
Expressing her excitement, Chinmayee stated, “I am thrilled to share my recent achievement of securing the software engineer position at ServiceNow. I am deeply grateful to the Placement Guidance and Advisory Bureau (PGAB) of our university, particularly Salman Abdul Moiz, PGAB chairman, and Prerna Akhouri, training and placement officer, for their unwavering support.”
Salman Abdul Moiz, professor of UoH, commended Chinmayee's achievement, stating, “It’s an encouraging sign for all of us at the university that students like Chinmayee are able to secure prestigious placements despite the challenges posed by the current job market in IT companies."
BJ Rao, vice chancellor of UoH, also extended his congratulations to Chinmayee and acknowledged the efforts of the computer and information sciences school and the placement bureau for their contributions to students' success in securing placements in reputable organisations.
