Over the past two years, schools introducing the IB curriculum have seen a growth of more than 300 per cent. They also aim to expand into 100 new CP schools in next five years.

The internationally recognised programme has a global presence and following among parents and students with 370 authorised schools under the programme, globally. As of October 2023, there were over 8,000 IB programmes being offered worldwide, across over 5,700 schools in 159 countries.

The IBCP Confluence staged by the World Academy of Career Programmes (WACP) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) was held in New Delhi and was attended by more than 200 school leaders, educators, counsellors, and industry experts.

“The IB has been operating in India since 1976 with over 378 IB programmes across more than 220 schools. It has successfully launched several prominent programmes in schools across major cities in India, including Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, and many others. Our collaboration with WACP provides an opportunity for schools to gain deeper insights into the unique CP qualification and how its curriculum can empower both students and teachers to better prepare for the evolving demands of the future workforce,” said Haif Bannayan, global director of Business Development, IB.

“We have witnessed a positive growth and enhancement of our student’s learning potential after introducing the IBCP programme with WACP CRS Artificial Intelligence & Business Administration at our school. The programme has benefited immensely in cultivating global-mindedness, preparing students for the ever-evolving future. With India poised as a global leader in the future, such programmes are the need of the hour. A programme like IBCP will help our students hone their skills and knowledge to work within a global community, creating opportunities and collaboration with others and help them build a strong foundation,” said Rohit Sen Bajaj, school director - Pathways School Gurgaon.

The globally recognised educational framework empowers educators and prepares Class 11 and 12 students to launch directly into a career of their choice or excel in further study. The CP is an innovative blend of academic study and career-related skills that opens the door to a happy and successful life.
