The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has commenced the registration for Common Recruitment Process (CRP CSA-XVI). Through this recruitment drive, over 10,000 Customer Service Associate (CSA) posts will be filled. Interested candidates can check eligibility, important dates, recruitment highlights, selection process and other details here. They must submit the form by August 21 at ibps.in. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in preliminary and main examination.

Age limit: As on August 1, 2026, applicants should be at least 20 years old and not more than 28 years old. Candidates must have been born between August 2, 1998 and August 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive). Relaxation in the upper age limit will be available for reserved category candidates as per Government of India norms.

The basic pay for the Customer Service Associate post starts at Rs 24,050 along with allowances and other benefits as per the rules of the allotted bank.

Educational qualification, application fee and selection process

Eligibility: IBPS Clerk applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or hold an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. The graduation result should have been declared on or before August 21, 2026. Candidates are also required to possess working knowledge of computers.

The application fee for SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-servicemen and Disabled Ex-servicemen candidates is Rs 175, inclusive of GST. Candidates belonging to all other categories will have to pay Rs 850, inclusive of GST.

Selection process: Candidates qualifying the preliminary examination will be shortlisted for the mains.

Exam pattern: The Preliminary Examination will include three sections—English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The paper will consist of 100 objective questions carrying 100 marks. Aspirants will be given 20 minutes to complete each section. They must secure the minimum cut-off marks in each section to qualify for the Main Examination.

The Main Examination will comprise General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. 160 questions will be there for a total of 200 marks. Aspirants will get 125 minutes with separate sectional timings.

Marking scheme: For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and there will also be a penalty of one-fourth or 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. No mark will be awarded or deducted for unanswered questions.

Eligible candidates can complete the registration process by following these steps:

  • Go to the official IBPS website
  • On homepage, click on CRP CSA-XVI registration link
  • Register using the required details and generate login credentials
  • Log in and fill the online application form
  • Upload the required documents in prescribed format
  • Pay applicable application fee online
  • Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future references

Participating banks in this recruitment drive are Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank, and Union Bank of India.
