IBPS SO 2018 mains exam begins in online mode; know details here

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 27: The mains exam of IBPS SO 2018 has begun at various centres in 52 cities across the country. The exam is being conducted in online mode to shortlist the candidates for the interview round of IBPS SO. IBPS SO 2018 mains exam is being conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, Marketing Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari.

Candidates who had qualified in the prelims exam of IBPS SO exam held on January 9 have only appeared for the examination. However, only those candidates have been allowed to enter the exam hall who have brought their admit card of IBPS SO mains exam along with one of the prescribed photo ID proof – Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport.

The IBPS SO mains exam for the post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer is being conducted for 45 minutes during which the candidates have to answer 60 objective questions from professional knowledge. Candidates who have appeared for the post of Rajbhabsha Adhikari have to answer a total of 45 objective questions and two descriptive questions within 30 minutes each.

IBPS SO exam is conducted in three phases – prelims, mains, and interview. Candidates who qualify all the three phases of the examination will be recruited in the Specialist Officer cadre at various banks under IBPS. The authority has announced a total of 1559 for the Junior Management Officer in IT, Agriculture, Law, HR/Personnel, Marketing and Rajbhasha Adhikari posts in 20 participating banks.
