CA Exam Postponement 2024: Delhi HC to hear petition to reschedule exam date on April 8
ICAI CA Intermediate and Final exam 2024 dates have been postponed to May 2 to 16. However, aspirants are now requesting to reschedule exams to June.

NEW DELHI: Delhi High Court will hear the petition to postpone Chartered Accountants (CA) exams scheduled to be held in May. A large section of CA aspirants have been urging the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) to postpone the CA Intermediate and Final exams 2024 to June in view of the 18th Lok Sabha general elections.

The ICAI postponed the CA Intermediate and Final exam 2024 schedule to May 2 to 16. The revised schedule was announced after the Election Commission announced the general election dates 2024. However, aspirants have expressed dissatisfaction and requested the ICAI to postpone the exams to June .
As per the revised schedule, the CA Foundation exam dates remain unchanged and will be held on the earlier announced dates - June 20, 22, 24, 26.
Candidates have highlighted the problems of transportation, election chaos, rallies, possibility of violence during the Lok Sabha elections. The country will cast its votes from April 19 to June 1.
“Considering continuous requests & hardships of CA students, we have filed a petition in Delhi HC seeking rescheduling of CA Exams from May to June 2024. HC is likely to hear it on Monday. CA students, please focus on studies. Matter is before the Court now. Let Court decide,” advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava posted on X.
“Some CAs are advising #castudents focus on studies. But why they didn't approve preparation leave for these students when they knew that exams are going to be conducted in May. Now suddenly so much concerned about their studies,” advocate Anubha Shrivastava Sahai tweeted.
